Hi, my name is Jeff. I am a tech enthusiast and love to learn new things. I have experience with most modern languagues using OOP and have managed global teams developing for products that have millions of users. I love being involved in the community and teaching software engineering to students. I have judged the Idaho state Programming Competition with SkillsUSA for several years. I have worked with high school students providing job shadows and other mentorship. I have hosted podcasts talking with other tech professionals in the Boise area and hosted in-person meetups.
I have worked with computers since high school. I started my career working IT jobs doing helpdesk, sys admin, etc. I started programming professionally in 2018. In 2022, I started managing projects and people in additional to my development work. My passions are for people, technology, and business. I quickly learned that it takes more than good code to make a project successful. My ultimate goal is to help make great software that generates value for the business while leading a team of happy and inspired engineers.
I am from Idaho and currently live near Boise. I studied Information Technology at BYU in Provo, Utah. I live with my wife, my two sons, and my dog. We enjoy watching movies, playing games, and spending time with our families.
